ISTANBUL ARRIVAL

PYRAMIDS & CAIRO SIGHTSEEING TOURS
Head out at 8:30 am from your hotel for a day tour of Istanbul’s old city.
During the tour you will visit Istanbul’s Byzantine Hippodrome - the heart of Constantinople’s political and sporting life, and the scene of games and riots throughout 500 years of Ottoman history as well. Follow it with a once in a life time visit to the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque , also known as the Blue Mosque because of the blue tiles surrounding the walls interior design. The Blue Mosque was built in the 16th century by architect Mehmet, during the rule of Ahmed I. Its Külliye contains Ahmed’s tomb, a madrasa, and a hospice. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is one of the three mosques in Turkey that has six minarets. Follow this with a visit to Topkapi Palace was one of the major residences of the Ottoman sultans for almost 400 years (1465–1856) of their 624-year reign. As well as a royal residence, the palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments. It is now a museum and as such a major tourist attraction. It also contains an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, and important relics of the Muslim world, including Muhammad Cloak and Sword. The Topkapi Palace is among the monuments contained within the ’Historic Areas of Istanbul’, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Lunch break at 1:00 pm. After lunch visit, the Grand Bazaar (Kapaliçarsi) in Istanbul is one of the largest covered markets in the world. In this labyrinth, there are 60 streets and 5,000 shops with each trade having its own area; the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts, and crafts, such as handpainted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware, and trays, water ewers, onyx-ware, and meerschaum pipes. Day 3
ISTANBUL - BOSPHORUS CRUISE (OPTIONAL)
After breakfast, the day is free at leisure, or do an optional tour for the Bosphorus cruise at additional cost.
Pickup time is about 08:30 am from your hotel. You will visit Grand Spice Bazaar, which has mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers, etc. Then take you on the Bosporus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with the possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residential and luxurious apartments. Rumeli Fortress (from the boat – no interior visit), historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosporus. A unique example of military architecture. Lunch will be around 1:00 pm. CAMLICA HILL is the highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it, you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosporus from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional Turkish Ottoman style. After cruise you will embark on a shopping tour. Experience the traditional silk weaving skills of Turkish women at the carpet weaving courses provided by The Ministry of National Education. You will get the opportunity to see jewelry, a handcrafts center, and a modern leatherwear show. Enjoy the experience of shopping whilst gaining the knowledge of ancient craftsmen. ISTANBUL TO CAPPADOCIA (BY FLIGHT)

CAPPADOCIA TOUR WITH UNDERGROUND CITY AND GOREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM
You will be picked up at approximately 9:30 am. We will drive you to Ozkonak Underground City, one of the best-preserved Underground cities in Cappadocia. Then visit Uchisar Castle, the highest point of Cappadocia. After Uchisar, you will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, the Heart of Cappadocia. Goreme Open Air Museum is famous for frescoes dating to the 10th century describing the life of Jesus Christ and monks. The next stop is Cavusin, which is an abandoned village with old cave Greek houses.
After Cavusin, you go to the restaurant in Avanos to have lunch. After lunch, you will visit a pottery workshop, to see how to make pottery. Then you will go to Pasabagi where you can see three-headed fairy chimneys. After Pasabagi, you will visit another workshop to see Cappadocian handwoven carpets and kilims. The next stop is Devrent Valley, which is also called Imagination Valley, where you can see natural rock formations looking like animals. Then you will head to a wine shop in Urgup for wine tasting. The last stop is Three Beauties, three beautiful fairy chimneys with their hats, which is the symbol of Cappadocia. F.A.Q's
1. Does the price include airfare?
No. Everyone will need to book their international airfare independently. Ace Travels Agency can also help you book your airfare reservations. Domestic airfare is also not included. A roundtrip flight between Istanbul and Cappadocia is about $115 - $200 per person (subject to change as per availability).
2. When is final payment due?
In general, the final payment is due 60 days before the departure with some exceptions where payment may be required earlier.
3. Can I opt for a payment plan?
Yes, you can opt for the payment plan option also. After putting down the deposit, you can pay the balance amount in multiple installments of any amount provided the full payment must be received 60 days before the tour starts.

5. Do U.S. citizens need a passport and/or a visa?
Yes, you need a valid passport with an expiration date of at least six months after your return. Under the Visa Exemption rule, American citizens are required to have an e-visa to enter Turkey. U.S. citizens can obtain a single-entry 90-day tourist e-visa at https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/info/. You can apply for your e-Visa any time before your travel. However, you are advised to create an e-Visa application at least 48 hours before your departure.. Please click https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/ for more information. Apart from Passport & Visa no other ID is required.

Travel insurance is highly recommended. When purchasing travel insurance a lot of details are required like date of birth, age, departing city, trip price, state of residence, etc. hence, it is recommended to purchase Travel Insurance from the US only. Ace Travels will follow up with a quote shortly after registration.
11. Is this an Ace Travels curate group trip?
No. This is a hybrid independent and group type travel. You will be on your own but excursions will be done as part of a group.
