I love hotels but sometimes I feel like an Airbnb maybe a better option depending on the type of trip I am taking.
While in Lisbon we stayed in this duplex in the Graca neighborhood. Sitting on the highest hill in the city, we had amazing views of the city and a 1 minute walk to the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte and other major points of interest across the Lisbon. While small it was cozy and comfortable enough for our party of two. Additionally, the host was phenomenal. When we arrived she presented us with basket of Portuguese wine, snacks and a map of the city. My only warning would be that if you are very tall you may feel uncomfortable when walking around the bedroom as it is a loft but other than we highly recommend this place. Located in Esterillos Este, about 20 minutes south of Jaco , this beautiful home easily accommodates 12 guests and gives all the feels of the Costa Rican saying, "Pura Vida!"
This spacious home is perfect for a large group and gives you easy access to major points of interest like, San Jose, Manuel Antonio National Park, Playa Hermosa and Jaco. Each bedroom has a bathroom providing plenty of privacy. There are also plenty of gathering spaces where guests can unwind and enjoy each other's company, as well as, wild animals. Best of all the pool provides a place to cool off from the Costa Rican heat. A caution for those with children, there is a lake behind the house that has large crocodiles. It's the perfect destination for travelers looking for a less traveled route to paradise. This area of the Yucatan is steeped in Mayan history and tradition, offering access to many of the major as well as less-known Mayan historical sites.
Besides the wonderful tranquility of the beaches, Xcalak is also a world class destination for fishing, snorkeling, diving, and eco-touring. This particular has an incredible reef system right in front of the villa and the white sand beaches stretch for miles in either direction. The seclusion and unpopulated feel of the area add to its allure and charm. The space itself is a studio efficiency apartment directly across the street from the beach house. This unit is quiet and cozy, with one bed, one bath, and a small kitchenette perfect for a couple. It also has access to our outdoor dining/cooking area with wood fired Argentine oven, BBQ grill and smoker. The host live on the premise and friendly and very attentive. If you have never been Reykjavik you maybe in for some sticker shock. However, this apartment is perfect for those who want to stay in a stylish apartment for a fair price. It can accommodate a big family, two couples with or without children, or a group of friends. It's located on the top floor in a three level freestanding house located in a quiet neighborhood short distance from downtown Reykjavik.
This comfortable 810 square feet space has two bedrooms, a living room with small balcony, bathroom and a kitchen. The kitchen has all needed facilities. Guests have access to a shower, hot tub, washing machine and dryer in the basement. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a lawn that is enclosed by a natural fence. The host also offer three bicycles that guest are welcome to use without any extra charges upon availability. Finally the hosts are very friendly and also operate a small rental car company where they offer great rates. |
